About Us

At House Farm Flower Company, each flower we grow carries more than color and fragrance; it carries a story of connection- to our community, to each other, and to the simple joy found in pausing to appreciate what is growing right in front of us.

Rooted in our family’s deep ties to the land we call home, we grow flowers as a way to slow life’s pace, invite wonder, and share moments of beauty in everyday life. What began as a family dream- shaped by years of searching for connection and belonging, tending gardens, and raising children- has grown into a farm where hands in the soil bring hearts together.

Giving Thanks

I am a firm believer in the power of shared knowledge and community. My deepest thanks go to the following organizations and individuals for their exceptional websites and educational resources. Their work has shaped my journey, and has inspired a new generation of farmer-florists to grow sustainably and to create with passion.

Erin Benzakien and the Floret team: For sharing her vision through the extraordinary website Floret Flowers, Netflix show Growing Floret, and endless pages of growing materials to inspire and educate.

Johnny’s Selected Seeds: A special thank you to our neighbors right here in our beloved State of Maine. As a seed and farming supply resource dedicated to the success of small-scale growers, their rigorous field-testing in our challenging 5a growing zone ensures that every variety I plant is selected for superior performance and cold tolerance in our short northern growing season.

Lynsey Taulbee: Flower farmer and marketing strategist, whose expert resources and constant encouragement empower farmers to build sustainable, successful businesses.

Maggie Taylor, founder of Delight Flower Farm, whose “beautiful-beyond-belief” sustainably-grown dahlias will grace my fields and bring joy to my family and my customers for years to come.

Additional thanks to Eden Brothers and Antonio Valente Flowers, for providing beautiful, diverse online catalogs that allowed me to fill the gaps in my growing plan with unique and high-quality seeds.

And, lastly, thank you to Wendell and Bonnie Porter of Porter’s Farm and Greenhouse. You are single-handedly responsible for sowing my very first seed of love for farming and flowers. I am forever grateful for your local leadership and for showing me how to grow a more beautiful world.

*A note on our visuals: Several images featured on this site are graciously provided by the catalogs of the mentors and suppliers listed above. I am deeply grateful for the use of these professional resources as I work toward capturing the unique beauty of my own harvest. Thank you for allowing me to share your stunning work while my own journey takes root.
